Ray was born in Springfield to his late parents, Elmer and Beulah Moss on July 17, 1945. Ray proudly served as a specialist in the E-4 US Army from 1965-1967 where he received the Purple Heart award during the Vietnam War. Ray enjoyed the outdoors and loved to work on and share vegetables from his garden with his friends, neighbors and family.
Ray is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Patsy Moss and siblings, Jimmy and Eddie Moss.
He is survived by his daughter, Sarah Martin and son-in-law, Blake Martin; siblings, Larry Moss, Marvin and Cathy Moss, and Mary Brewer.
Graveside services Friday, September 10,2021 at 10:00 am in Galloway Cemetery.
