Wendall R. Miller, age 85 of Alto Pass, died Monday, September 6, 2021 at Manor Court in Carbondale. He was born November 8, 1935 in Cobden, the son of Ray J. and Donna Marie (Fox) Miller. He married Vernita on January 1, 1998 in Alto Pass.

Wendall is survived by his wife, Vernita; son, Wendall; grandchildren; great-grandchild; sister, Vernita ; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Carol Bernice Hickam.

Wendall was a member of Anna Heights Baptist Church and he loved his church family very much. He greatly enjoyed southern gospel music. He served his country in the United States Army and he was a member of the American Legion in Cobden. Wendall was an avid Cardinal Baseball fan.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at the Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden with Pastor Carroll Toler officiating. Interment will be in the Ebenezer Hall Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the service hour at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Alto Pass Fire Department or the Ebenezer Hall Cemetery. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. All those attending will be required to wear a face covering.
