Charles Clyde Ryan, 83 of Eolia, KY, entered heaven's gates with family by his side on Wednesday, February 24, 2021. He was born in Greensboro, NC on January 16, 1938 and later worked 27 years as a coal miner for Scotia Coal, US Steel and retiring at Arch of Kentucky. Charles was a member and deacon of the Rockvine Baptist Church and loved being a servant for God and to other people.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Suzanna Elizabeth Ryan; daughter, Paula Ryan; and brother, James T. Ryan.
Charles will be missed by his loving wife of 53 years, Frances G. Shelton Ryan of Eolia; children, Danny Ryan, Sr. of Richmond, VA, Eddie Joe (Dawn) Ryan of Lexington, KY, Mendy (Billy) Boggs of Partridge, and James (DJ) Ryan of South Shore, KY; brother, Dewey (Linda) Ryan of Mount Carmel, TN; sister, Ruth (Wendell) Raleigh of Newport, TN; 10 grandchildren; as well as a host of other family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 25, 2021, between 5 – 7 pm at Rockvine Baptist Church, 13897 U.S. 119, Partridge, KY. Funeral services will follow at 7 pm with Roger Jones and Jason Caudill officiating.
