George Hubbard was called to his eternal home on Sunday, September 5, 2021, peacefully at the age of 71.

George was born on April 20, 1950, in Pocahontas, Mississippi. He dedicated 11 years in the U.S. Army and served two overseas tours in Germany. One of his tours was during the Vietnam War Era. After separating from the armed forces, he completed his Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Grand Valley State University in Allendale, MI and became a police officer with the Muskegon Heights Police Department, rising to the rank of Lieutenant. He retired after 25 years of honorable and faithful service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George McReed and Dora Hubbard. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Sefronia Hubbard; his children, Floyd O. Hubbard (Sunny), George Drye (Angie), Crystal J. Hubbard, Mary C. Hubbard, Kela L. Hubbard, and stepson Jermaine Blackmon, and siblings; T.J. Brown, Mary Sayers (Charles (deceased)), Earlene Holloway, Mildred Nelson, Carolyn Wheatley (Reginald), Delores Forbes (Rev. Willie), Ricky Smith (Charlene). He is also survived by his grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, MS 39503.
