Joyce Farley Allen, 85, of Bessemer, AL passed away September 5, 2021. She was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. Joyce retired from Walmart with twenty-five years of service. She was a past member of the Eastern Star Flinthill Chapter. Joyce was always feeding birds and raising her roses. She was a happy person who loved the Lord. She was a loving wife, devoted mother and proud Nanny. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Mack Allen; her son, James Michael Allen; her daughter in law, Bernice Kizziah Allen and her brother, Kenneth Farley. She is survived by her son, Roger Allen; her daughter, Freda Allen; her grandchildren, David (Tamera) Allen, Erika (Scott) Hadaway and Jared (Amanda) Allen; her great grandchildren, Jonah, C.J., J.C., Sarah and Caleb; her sisters, Eloise (Albert) Humphries, Nell Hoce, Gail Harvell and Kathy Sanchez. Graveside service will be Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Albert Humphries will be officiating the service. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Bessemer Brown Service Funeral Home.
