Michael Lee Woolsey was born on December 9, 1955 to Milford Jayhue and Donna Marie (Farmer) Woolsey in Roseburg, Oregon.
Michael left this life on August 30th, 2021 at his home in Arroll, MO.
He was preceded in death by his father Milford Woolsey and one brother James Woolsey.
Michael was in the last graduating 8th grade class of Arroll school and graduated from Summersville High School in 1973.
He was joined in marriage 47 years ago, May 25th, 1974 to the love of his life and high school sweetheart Bonnie Jo (Jones) Woolsey at the Arroll Church, where Michael was also saved as a young boy.
To this union, 3 children were born: Mark (Kelly) Woolsey, Ben (Jaime) Woolsey, and Luke (Melissa) Woolsey all of Arroll, MO. Grandchildren include: Nathan (Lindsay) Woolsey, Beau Woolsey, Tanner Hampton, Bella Woolsey, Cameron Woolsey, James (Brady) Sharp, Haley (Jordon) Wilkins, Tanner Woolsey, and Liberty Woolsey.
Michael loved the family they built together and was always up for an adventure with his grandchildren.
Michael is also survived by his brothers Scott (Debra) Woolsey, Doug (Tina) Woolsey, Steven Woolsey, his sister-in-law Pennie Woolsey, and a host of great-grand children, nieces, and nephews.
He loved hunting, fishing, and kayaking. His love of the outdoors started at a very early age. He often told stories of overnight float trips on the Jacks Fork River, hunting squirrels, rabbits, turkeys, deer, and other Ozark game. He told of camping in caves and generally living the life of a young man growing up in the Ozark hills in the 60's. He faithfully attended Fundamental Bible Baptist Church for many years. He was a very hard worker, holding many jobs in his younger days. He cut his first load of cord wood with an axe, worked at several sawmills and worked his way up to a sawmill head-sawyer, milked cows, and farmed his original home place with his brother Scott. He was intelligent, determined, always up for a challenge, and never met a problem he couldn't solve. But what he considered to be his greatest business accomplishment was seeing his water well business grow from one hand built and painted service truck to a thriving company that is able to support and provide employment for the coming generations. Even though he hadn't participated in the day-to-day operations as his health declined, he still enjoyed visiting with his many customers that had become friends.
John 4:14 "But whosever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life."
