Betty Schultz, age 96, of Laurie, passed away, Friday, September 3, 2021, at the Laurie Care Center. She was born September 13, 1924, in Leavenworth, Kansas, a daughter of the late Otto and Lena (Horn) Schultz. While living in Florida, she made over 6000 rosary beads. Betty was a member of a kitchen band playing in various nursing homes in the lake area. She is survived by her children, James Rogacki and wife Beverly of Delta, Colorado, Linda Jean Crabtree of Laurie, Missouri, Mary Valentine of Bonita Springs, Florida and Wade P. Broussard and wife Vivian of Shawnee, Kansas; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Roy Schultz of Greenview, Missouri and Otto Schultz, Jr. of Bonner Springs, Kansas; sisters, Rose Starling of Kansas and Regina Murphy of Versailles, Missouri and many other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, William Schultz, Vincent Schultz and Joseph Schultz and her sister, Agnes Fanghor. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 11th, in the Campbell Cemetery in Odessa.
