MC CORMICK JOHN J., JR. A lifelong resident of Ardmore, Pa. passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021. He was 97 years old. He is the beloved brother of Helen M. (the late William) Pergolini, and Catherine C. "Kitty" McCormick, and the late Mary McCormick, Betty Davis, Anne McGarvey, Jean O'Brien, Joseph, James, William, Joan Hand, Hugh, Gerald, and Owen McCormick.

John was born in Geraldsville, Pa. to John J. and Mary (nee Waters) McCormick, Sr. He served his country in World War II as a Ship's Cook 2nd Class in the United States Navy aboard the USS Neal Scott. John earned the Victory Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and the American Campaign Medal during his 4 years served. When he returned from the war, John was employed at Autocar and as a deliveryman for Merrick Apothecary. John was a lifetime member of the Merion Fire Company, Knights of Columbus and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Wed., September 8, 2021 from 9:30 A.M. to 10:45 A.M. and to his Mass of Christian Burial following at 11 A.M. both in St. Denis Church, 2401 St. Denis Lane, Havertown, Pa. 19083. The Interment will take place in St. Denis Cem., Havertown.
