Mattie Sue Webb departed his life on Wednesday September 23, 2020 at Brantwood Nursing Facility in Oxford NC.
Mattie was born September 1, 1927 to the late Willie and Elizabeth Evans.
Mattie grew up in the Providence community where she attended school in Stem, NC. She was a housekeeper and home maker for many years and spent much of her life caring for her children, grandchildren and the children of her siblings and loved ones. She is remembered for her feisty spirit, sense of humor and her good cooking.
Mattie attended the Only Way Church of Christ in Providence, NC until her health declined. She loved singing and her favorite song was "Come on in the room". Mattie was blessed with 93 years on this earth and continued acknowledging the goodness of the Lord until her death. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Mattie leaves to cherish her beautiful memory: one daughter, Linda Bridges, Oxford NC, one son, Roy Webb (Glenda), Baltimore, MD, two sisters; Alice Evans and Bessie Roundtree (Ralph), one brother; Dennis Evans, one sister in law; Lucille Evans, nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Graveside service will be conducted on Sunday September 27,2020 at Only Way Church Cemetery by Bishop James Daniel.
