Maureen A. Brown, age 74, of Horseheads, NY, formerly of Pine City, NY. She was born September 15, 1946 in Elmira, daughter of the late Maurice and Ruth (Deiseroth) Fitzgerald and passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Bruce (Sonny) Brown on November 1, 2020. Maureen is survived by her children Randy & Kierston Brown of Elmira and Wendy Cremeens of Liverpool, NY; grandchildren Haley and Magnus Brown; beloved cousin Ruth Ann Wiggins of Athens, AL; sister-in-law Patsy Williams along with several nieces and nephews; close friends and former customers from her banking career. Maureen worked in banking for over 40 years and loved working with the public and enjoyed meeting so many wonderful people. She was always pleased to help. Maureen found a love of hockey which transpired into volunteering with the local Elmira Jackal's Booster Club. After retirement, she enjoyed traveling with her husband. They traveled to Alaska, a safari in South Africa and to Disney World to watch their daughter Wendy compete in the Disney Princess Half Marathon. She enjoyed trips to Florida and the beach with her grandchildren, of which they continue to talk about, as she was always the doting Mimi. She was an honorary member of the Southport Volunteer Fire Department.
