Gregory James "Greg" Wilson April 23, 1957 - September 03, 2021
Gregory James Wilson, who resided near Lavaca, Arkansas, died Friday, September 3, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith. He was born April 23, 1957, in Ozark, Arkansas, to the late Vance James Wilson and Jerry Faye Underwood Wilson. He was 64 years old. He was preceded in death by a brother, Kenny Wilson.

Greg was a retired truck driver for Arkhola Sand and Gravel. He was a 1976 graduate of Lavaca High School. Greg's passing was totally unexpected and a complete shock. He was the best husband, brother, uncle, and friend that you could ask for. He was always there with a helping hand, and willing to do what it took to get the job done. He had a quick wit and was someone you could have an intelligent conversation with no matter the subject. He loved working outdoors on his property, and on his days off you could always find him mowing grass, if not on his own lawn, then the neighbors. He built and displayed many lawn ornaments and kept the property looking nice. He was a respected member of the community and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Samantha (Ratliff) Wilson; two sisters, Sharon Cotta and husband Joe of Alma and Shanda Wilson of Pocola, Oklahoma; a brother, David Wilson and wife Ronda of Lavaca; several nieces and nephews.

The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 8th, at the funeral home.

Cremation and all services are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
