Mr. Walter Hamby Young, age 70, of Lawrenceville, GA, formerly of Toccoa, GA, passed away Saturday, June 12, 2021.
Born January 2, 1951 in West Palm Beach, Florida, he was the son of the late Maurice and Nell Mathews Young.
Walter was a graduate of The University of Georgia with a Bachelor Degree in accounting and was employed with King and Prince Foods as an accountant. He lived on St Simons Island until he retired and moved to Lawrenceville.
Family members include his sister, Leah Collier of Toccoa, GA; a niece, Kimberly Brandon and Doug of Suwanee, GA; a nephew, Christen Collier and Nicki of Toccoa, GA; great-niece, Rachel Brandon of Suwanee, GA; and a great-nephew, David Brandon of Suwanee, GA.
He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Roy Collier.
A private family graveside service was held at Rose Hill Cemetery in Winder, GA
