Barbara Anne "Bobbie" Fisher Myers, age 88, of, Pensacola, Florida, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 4, 202, Barbara was born on June 17, 1933 in Huntersville, NC. Mrs. Myers was a loving mother and friend to many, she took a trip to Myrtle Beach, SC over the July 4th holiday in 1953. There, she met the love of her life, Charles Myers. He was a strapping Marine on leave. The two were married on Christmas Eve, 1953. Over the next 63 years, the two would be inseparable. They were pillars of the square dancing community known nationwide. While Mr. Myers was the public figure, Mrs. Myers was the one behind the scenes keeping everything together. As the saying goes - Behind every great man, there's a great woman (rolling her eyes). She was the rock of the Myers family. Several things you could always count on - if you visited for dinner, she would always make your favorite dish, have fresh strawberries, and fresh gulf shrimp. You could also bet there would be plenty of laughter and dancing to her favorite artist, Delbert McClinton. She loved going to the IP Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi. She would make friends with the other patrons and staff of the casino. If a jackpot was won, you guessed it, everybody would be laughing and dancing. She was the light of any room she entered. Mrs. Myers was a proud member of Pensacola Impact 100, Pensacola Newcomers, and the Red Hat Society. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde McCoy and Dotsie Lee Fisher; Sister, Dayle Adeline Hager; Husband, Charles Marvin Myers; and Son, Clyde Joseph Myers. Mrs. Myers is survived by Brother, Gary M. Fisher (Wife Shirleen) of Huntersville, NC; Sister-in-Law, Charita Cunningham (Husband Gary) of Topeka, KS; Son, Christopher J. Myers (Wife Susan) of Cantonment, FL; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Myers will be inurned with her husband at a graveside service to honor her life at 9:30am on Monday, September 13th, 2021, at Barrancas National Cemetery aboard NAS Pensacola. Pastor Jim Dietz from Azalea Trace will be officiating. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at 8:45am at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, 2276 Airport Blvd, Pensacola. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to her favorite charity, the Wounded Warrior Project. Special thanks to Covenant Hospice and Harper-Morris Funeral Home for making this time of grief easy and comforting.
