Charlotte, North Carolina - Barbara Jahn Burns, 83, died peacefully on December 16, 2020 surrounded by family. Born in Evanston, IL, she got to Fort Worth, TX as soon as she could in 1984. Barbara was a lifelong nursing home and Hospice volunteer, and facilitator of self awareness and empowerment groups. She was a co-teacher of Texas History at Tarrant County College Senior Education for 20 years.
Mrs. Burns is survived by her husband, David; sons, Douglas and his wife, Cindy, and John; daughter, Jane Tune and her husband, Trey; and five wonderful grandchildren, Emily, Ann Chandler, Tristan, Ella, and Charlotte.
