Barbara was a lifelong nursing home and Hospice volunteer, and facilitator of self awareness and empowerment groups. She was a co-teacher of Texas History at Tarrant County College Senior Education for 20 years.
Mrs. Burns is survived by her husband, David; sons, Douglas and his wife, Cindy, and John; daughter, Jane Tune and her husband, Trey; and five wonderful grandchildren, Emily, Ann Chandler, Tristan, Ella, and Charlotte.
