He was born March 14, 1934, in Grady, he was the son of Richard Jefferson and Tempie Roberson Venable.
Mr. Venable was reared and received his early education, graduating from Grady.
He started farming at 18 years old and married the love of his life, Kathryn, in 1955.
He was named the Lincoln County Farm Family of the Year in 1967, Outstanding Young Farmer for the state of Arkansas in 1970 and served at the Ag Heritage Farm Council on state regional and national levels from 1975-2004.
Mr. Venable was very active in his church and community, while attending Grady United Methodist church he served on the board and was treasurer for many years. He was a member of the Grady Lions Club and past president of the Grady School board.
He enjoyed ball room dancing with his wife, gardening, especially working in his rose garden, spending time with his family, and traveling around the world.
Mr. Venable was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 56 years, Kathryn Venable; three brothers, Clyde Venable, WH Venable, and Leonard Venable, along with two sisters, Francis Venable, and Marjorie Venable.
Survivors include his two daughters, Pamela (Jeff) Keeter of Grady, and Robbin Tuller of Plano, Texas; two grandsons, Justin (Sara) Keeter of Grady, and Ryan (Ally) Keeter of Prairie Grove; one granddaughter, Sarah Tuller of Plano, and two great-grandchildren, RJ Keeter and Jefferson Keeter.
In leu of flowers the family the family has asked for memorials to be made to the Grady Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 353, Grady, AR 71644 or Grady United Methodist church, Po box 84 Grady, Arkansas 71644.
