Of the Baptist faith, he had a true heart of gold and genuinely loved others as Jesus would. Mark was a devoted father to his children and strived to have a special relationship with each of them.
He loved to pass the time while fishing, playing on his guitars, listening to music, and riding his Harley Davidson.
In addition to his father, Mark was preceded in death by his stepsister, Paula Watson; his stepmother, Margaret Watson; and his stepfather, Otis Russell.
Mark is survived by his loving children, Christopher Watson (Jessica) of Warner Robins, Melissa Varnadoe (Troy) of Bonaire, Amy Watson of Warner Robins and Karlee Giles (Zachary) of Kathleen; grandchildren, Chase and Levi Watson, Brenden, Haley and Hunter Varnadoe, Destinee Bouvia, Aiden Watson and Gracelynn Giles; mother, Billie Ruth Russell of Warner Robins; sister, Lanae Collier (Boyd) of Canton; and brothers, Gary and David Watson, both of Bonaire.
Visitation will be Friday, September 10, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2021, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Reverend Fred McCoy officiating. Afterward, Mark will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
