Harold King 78, of Paris passed away January 29, 2021. Public viewing Friday, February 5, 2021 from 8 to 12 pm in Maxey Funeral Chapel with words of comfort by the Rev. Leon Hendricks. Interment will follow at New Home Cemetery, Cooper, Texas under the direction of Maxey Funeral Home. Mr. Harold D. King, born to the parentage of Mrs. Percolia King on November 13, 1942, in Cooper, Texas, was the fourth of nine children. He received his formal education from Booker T. Washington School in Cooper, Texas. He accepted Christ at an early age as his personal Savior under the leadership of the late Elder C. H. Pierson of Paris, Texas. He was active in the Love Chapel Church of God in Christ where he was active in Sunday School and Choir. He loved outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, and farming in general. Harold leaves to cherish his memories two sisters, Berline Jackson, Paris and Kay Frazier, Dallas; a brother, Carlton King, Cooper, Texas, also numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and a host of cousins, friends, and church members. Preceding him in death were brothers, Jerry Sanders, G. C. King, Robert King and Ronnie King; and a sister, Rose Helen Coleman.
