Vicki Lynn Bennett, age 62, of Rogers passed from this life during the afternoon hours of Friday, April 23, 2021 at Baylor Scott & White.
She was born on the 5th day of August 1958 in Alexandria, Virginia to parents Jack and Betty (Dudley) Newman.
Vicki grew up in Alexandria, Virginia; she spent many years in Virginia and Florida before making her way to Bell County.
Vicki married Gerald Wesley Bennett in Millington, MI at the Nazarene Church on February 14, 2009.
For many years Vicki worked as a truck driver before her health began to fail her. She retired in the early 2000's so she could stay at home and help raise her beloved grandkids.
She loved to read mystery books, play guitar, and dance her heart out.
Vicki, also known as "Grammy" was immensely proud of her grandkids which she loved so much. Vicki will be dearly missed by friends and family.
She is preceded in death by parents Jack and Betty, son Travis Evans, two sisters Sue Ann and Brenda as well as her beloved Aunt Thelma.
Vicki leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband Jerry Bennett of Rogers, two sons A.R. Evans and wife Samantha of Temple and Brandon Garner and wife Candi of Virginia, brothers Jack, Bobby, and Billy, two sisters Sherry and Tammy, and five grandkids: Austin, Hunter, Cameron, Kari, and Aaron.
Funeral services for Vicki will be held at Hewett-Arney Funeral Home on May 3, 2021 at 11 o'clock a.m.
A burial at Seaton cemetery will follow the funeral services.
The family will be accepting visitors at 10 o'clock a.m. at the funeral home.
A reception will be held at the residence of A.R. Evans, 5055 Windcliff Dr. Temple, TX 76502 following the burial.
