Mr. Eric Gerald Duncan, Sr. age 81 of Wilkesboro, husband of Betty Staley Duncan, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Scenic Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with Mr. Edwin Taylor and Rev. Alvin Johnson officiating. Entombment will be in Scenic Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the service at Scenic Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

Mr. Duncan was born January 16, 1936 in Bolder CO to Hannibal Gerald and Winnie Davis Leach Duncan. He was retired from Tyson Foods where he drove a truck for 38 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Duncan is survived by his wife; Betty Duncan, of the home, a daughter; Cathy Lynn Duncan and wife, Allison of Kernersville, two sons; Eric Gerald Duncan, Jr and wife, Elaine of Wilkesboro and Richard Gerald Duncan and wife, Wanna of Wilkesboro, four grandchildren; Daniel Gerald Duncan and wife Ashley J. Duncan of Wilkesboro, Bradley Ross Duncan of Washington, DC, Cara Leigh Duncan of Kernersville and Corbin Logan Duncan of Kernersville and three great grandchildren; Nori Elizabeth Duncan, Abbie Breanna Duncan and Alicia Braelynn Duncan.

The family request that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 419 S Hawthorne Road, Winston Salem, NC 27103 or St. Jude's Children's Hospital, c/o Window World Cares 118 Shaver Street, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659.
