Mildred Sue Johnson left this world and entered the arms of her Heavenly Father on August 14, 2021. She was born Mildred Sue Tison on May 18, 1924 in the Prospect Community of Grant Parish Louisiana to Job Wynn and Kate Bell Tison (both deceased). She had two brothers, Shefford Tison and Doyle Tison (both deceased). She has three sisters, Elaine Tison Koon, Immojean Tison Parker and Nellwynn Tison Nugent (deceased). She has 13 nieces and nephews. She married Rulon Thomas Hegwood in 1942 and has two sons, Billy Wayne Hegwood, wife Judy and grandchildren, Michael Wayne Hegwood and Susan Hegwood Handorf and husband Aaron. Thomas Michael Hegwood, wife Gail and grandchildren, Chandra Hegwood Swetledge and husband Stephen, Tison Michael Hegwood and wife Kristine and Jarrod Thomas Hegwood and wife Jo Lynn. She has 10 great grandchildren. After Tom's death Sue married Vollie Johnson, who preceded her in death in 2005. She has lived in Loranger/Walker Louisiana, with son Mike, for the last 10 years. She lived a long life and blessed family and friends alike. She worked many years as a bookkeeper and liked to read her Bible and listen to hymns about God and His love for us and His gift of salvation through His son Jesus Christ. Visitation at Loranger Baptist Church from 9:00AM until religious services at 10:00AM on Saturday, August 21, 2021. Services conducted by Rev. Mike Hegwood. Interment will be at 3:30PM on Saturday at Frazier Cemetery, Prospect Community, LA. McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, in charge of arrangements.
