Henry M. Beard, 76, died January 24, 1963 in his home at Mansfield. Services were held Saturday at the Mansfield Methodist Church with burial in Mansfield Cemetery.
Mr. Beard was born on September 2, 1886 in Clay County, the s/o Gabriel and Martha Campbell Beard. He married Elsie Martin January 7, 1915. Surviving are his widow; four children: Eugene V. Beard (1915-1969) and Robert D. Beard (1930-1994) , both of Mansfield; Mrs. Juanita Alexander and Mrs. Lucille Mattis of Flora; 11 grandchildren; two brothers: Lee of Iuka and Lou of St Louis MO; and five sisters: Mrs. Ella Eddings, Mansfield; Mrs. Edna Davis and Mrs. Lola Henna of Iuka; Mrs. Doris Schlictman of Salem and Mrs. Wester Rothernel of St Louis.
He retired from farming about three years ago and moved into Mansfield. He was a member of the Bethel Congregational Church.
