Rev. Henry "H.L." Thompson, Sr., 80 of Chatsworth passed away Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Hamilton Medical Center.
Henry attended Gospel Light Tabernacle.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years JoAnn Seay Thompson; parents, William Henry Thompson and Lona Belle Thompson; sister, Jean Muse; brothers, David, Wayne, and Merle Thompson; son, Carl Thompson, Sr.; daughter, Janis Grace; granddaughter, Valerie Ann Rich.
Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Henry Jr. and Carol Thompson of Chatsworth, Randy and Ruthie Thompson of Gallatin, TN; daughter and son-in-law, Marian and Calvin Hogue of Chatsworth; brother, Roger Thompson of Chatsworth; 14 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren; extended family also survives.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Rev. Thompson will be held Sunday at 3:00 p.m. from the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. James Whaley officiating. Interment will follow in Chatsworth Heights Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, social distancing and masks are encouraged. No food or drinks are allowed inside the funeral home.
