Russell Filmore Hodges, age 60 of Rocky Mount passed away Monday, March 22, 2021. He was born May 27, 1960 a son of the late Joseph Cabell and Cora Hall Hodges and was also preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Hodges. Russell served in the United States Marine Corps. Surviving are his sisters and brothers, Linda Perdue Yopp, Richard Hodges (Betty), Betty Hood, Roger Hodges, Susan Harrison and Randall Hodges; special nieces and nephews, Ricky, Jennifer, Kathy, Tommy and Gary Lee; along with several nieces and nephews; special friend, Kevin Robertson. Memorial services will be held at Henry Fork Church of the Brethren, 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 25, 2021 with Pastor Ronald Coleman officiating. His family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the church. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
