FORTUNA, CA, AND PLYMOUTH - Danielle NiCole Bertolini, 23, was found March 9, 2015, in Humboldt County, California. She was born March 6, 1990, in Medford, Oregon, a daughter of Jonathan and Billie Jo (Brooks) Bertolini.
She was a member of the Apostolic Faith Tabernacle in Detroit. She moved to California in 2010 following the death of her son. She will be remembered for her love of camping, fishing and hunting.
She is survived on her mother's side by her mother Billie Jo Dick and husband Shannon of Plymouth, grandmother Ruth Smith and husband Clarence of Medford, OR, sister Mariah Bertolini of Medford, OR, brother Tristan Brooks of Newport, nephew Eli Richcreek of Eagle Point, OR, grandfathers William McCullough of Corinth and John Brooks of Calais, uncles Clarence McCullough of Kenduskeag and Chris Smith of Springfield, MO, aunts Laura Franks and Lorrell Malotte, both of Eagle Point, OR; on her father's side, her father Jon Bertolini and wife Tracy of Crescent City, CA, great grandfather Primo Bertolini of Gasquet, CA, grandfather Lorimer Bertolini of Brookings, OR, grandmother Teri Budd of Merlin, OR, great grandfather, Everett Lawless of Merlin, OR, uncle Kris Bertolini of Crescent City, CA, aunt Hope Staten of Lincoln, NE, step sisters, Trish Nuss of Medford, OR, and Brandi Nuss of Tucson, AZ.
Danielle was predeceased by her son Xavier David Brooks, great-grandmothers Velma Palmer and Eva Lawless, great grandfathers Harvey McCullough and Raymond Prosser, and an aunt Tina Smith.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 15th, at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street, Newport, with Pastor Al Worden officiating.
