Mrs. Ludie Cooper, 79, passed away Thursday at her home in Canton following a short illness. Funeral services were held Saturday at the First Baptist Church of Canton. Burial was in the Hillcrest cemetery.

Mrs. Cooper was born August 19, 1878 in Jackson, Mississippi. Her husband, Arthur Cooper preceded her in death in 1953. She was a member of the Canton Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons, Shirley Cooper of Dallas and Foster Cooper of Bellaire; a daughter, Mrs. Irene Turner of San Antonio; a sister, Mrs. Emily Stringer of Martins Mill and one granddaughter.
