April 16, 1937 - September 3, 2021

Clinton Marie Rieben Johnson, of Huntsville, passed away peacefully on September 3, surrounded by family. Marie, 84, was born in Winchester, Tennessee to George and Marie Rieben. It was there that she met and married her loving husband of 64 years, Ed Johnson. Ed and Marie moved to Huntsville in 1957 for work on Redstone Arsenal and raised their two children.

Marie taught kindergarten before beginning her career at Regions Bank where she worked for 20 years. Upon retirement, Marie spent her time working and volunteering at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, and Meals on Wheels. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband and spending time with her family and friends. Marie was especially close to her two sisters, Carol Rose and Shirley Mantle, sharing their love of books, cross stitching, and traveling.

Marie was a devoted and loving servant of the Lord throughout her life, and she was most proud of her role as mother and grandmother. Marie never missed a chance to celebrate her children and grandchildren, cheering them on at every sporting event, dance recital, graduation, and birthday
