Funeral services for Janet Stahl Thompson will be held Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Brushwood Methodist Church in Dubberly, Louisiana with Bro. Jim Reid and Joe Lynn Robinson officiating. Interment will follow at Fellowship Cemetery in Dubberly under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden, Louisiana. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Monday, September 6, 2021, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.

Janet was born January 22, 1965, in Homer, Louisiana and entered into rest September 3, 2021, in Heflin, Louisiana. She was a school bus drive for Webster Parish School System. Janet loved spending time with her grandchildren, they lit up her life. Janet also loved dancing with her husband Tommy, in the kitchen, on the deck, and back porch. Her favorite hobby was working in her flower gardens. She was well-known for having a beautiful yard. Janet loved to serve others, if she saw a need, she did her best to fill it. Janet was very involved in her church, Brushwood Methodist where she served as a teacher and choir member.

Janet was preceded in death by her father, Don Stahl,; mother, Georgia Knight; stepfather, Dennis Knight; brother-in-law, Marty Thompson; sister-in-law, Colleen Thompson; and nephew Chad Thompson.

She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Tommy Lee Thompson of Heflin; daughters, Amanda Greer (Justin) of Heflin and Crystal Couch (Anthony) of Sarepta; stepmother, Priscilla Stahl of Dubberly; sisters, Ann Heard (Buddy Clyde) of Dubberly and Susan Reeves (Billy) of Minden; grandchildren, Mason, Landon, Eli, and J.D. Greer, Chloe and Ryan Wells, and Trenton and Travis Couch; in laws, Leroy and Trula Thompson of Minden, Timmy and Carol Ann Thompson of Georgia, D'Wayne Thompson of Haynesville, and Patty and Jerome Milam of Orange, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews.
