Mary Frances "Fran" Brinkman (nee Goodwin) passed on Friday, August 27, 2021 at the age of 91. She was born on November 21, 1929 in Sunbury, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Ernest and Katherine Goodwin (nee Berlew). Fran was the beloved wife of the late Richard (Dick) Brinkman and brother of the late Richard Goodwin.
She is survived by her children, Brett Brinkman (Vicky Cooper) Kathy Hinken (Craig Lynch), Mark (Laurie) and David (Kelli) Brinkman and by her 10 grandchildren Ryan, Alex, Brittany, Dustin, Kiley, Tara, Jon, Raymond, Elle and Rayleigh. She also has 9 great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents, brother and husband, she was also preceded in death by her son Steven Brinkman and grandson Nathan Brinkman.
Fran was raised in Sunbury, PA moving to Cincinnati after high school. She has been in Reading since her wedding day and raised her family there. She enjoyed many things including bowling, music and classic movies, but most of all, she was all about family.
Over the past 4 months, Fran enjoyed her time at The Landing of Long Cove Assisted Living where she quickly made several good friends and participated in the activities.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 2 from 5:30 - 7:30 PM at Spring Grove Funeral Home Tri County, 11285 Princeton Pike, Cincinnati 45246.
A private funeral service for family will be held on Friday, September 3 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
