Although she always claimed to be a size 10, she never was. It was always in her sarcastic nature to say such things; if you asked her what she was doing you never got a straight answer. But you could be sure that she would have her home organized. "A place for everything, and everything in its place" was a motto she lived by. A day at the shore was a day well spent. Whether it was North Wildwood or Atlantic City, she could often be found at the coast. Perhaps this is where she developed her love of collecting lighthouses, reading paperback novels and playing pinochle.
Her work at GE in Philadelphia led to her meeting her husband Joseph. They were married from 1956 till his death in 1990. Carolyn leaves behind her son, Joseph S. Novak of Burlington City; her daughter, Kathleen Novak of Delran; her grandson, Joseph, Jr. of South Carolina, as well as her friends at the Delran Senior Citizens' Club.
Come celebrate 76 wonderful years on Saturday from 8:30 to 10 AM at the SWEENEY FUNERAL HOME, 337 Bridgeboro St., Riverside. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 AM at St. Casimir Church, Riverside. Interment: Lakeview Memorial. Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to American Heart Assn., 1 Union St., Suite 301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691.
