John J. McMahon ~~~ Formerly of Dorchester, passed away on September 1, 2021. Beloved brother of Marcia McDougall, Susan Livingston, David McMahon, and Patricia McMahon.
Jack graduated from Boston Latin School and Boston College. He was a sports aficionado and tried and true Boston sports fan. Jack devoted much of his life to coaching sports from baseball to football and basketball. For several decades, he recruited and coached some of Boston's most talented and diverse basketball talent having founded the Greater Boston AAU boys basketball program.
Jack was predeceased by his parents, John and Ruth (Dunton) McMahon.
Arrangements: John J. O'Connor & Son Funeral Home, 740 Adams St. Dorchester.
Funeral Mass in St. Brendan's Church at 11 o'clock.
Interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
