"Charles C. Lantz, 70, Birmingham in Clay County, died Friday at North Kansas City Memorial Hospital. He was born in Ohio [sic] and had lived in the Clay County area 48 years. Mr. Lantz was a section hand for the Wabash Railroad 17 years and a maintenance man and mechanic for Fry Roofing Co. 28 years before he retired in 1972. He was a Presbyterian. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Isabell Lantz of the home; a son, Frank Lantz of Acton, Mass.; two daughters, Mrs. Bonnie Martin of 3531 N. Lister, and Mrs. Georgia Butler of 906 N.E. 42nd; two brothers, Wesley Lantz of Birmingham and Ben Schirmer of Burton, Kas.; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the McGilley Antioch Chapel; burial in East Slope Cemetery." The Kansas City Times, December 31, 1977
