Alice Cora Glass fell into the arms of Jesus Christ on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at the age of 88.

She was born November 4, 1932, to William (Bill) and Stella Schwartz.

She was raised in Wall, Texas with her parents and five siblings.

She attended Sykes School through the 8th grade, Wall High School for 9th and 10th grade, then went to San Angelo High School until Christmas break. She told her parents she didn't like it and wasn't going back, and she didn't.

She was a homemaker, wife, and mom of 6 children, and later a grandmother of 16 grandchildren and great-grandmother of 15.

On April 12, 1955, she married the love of her life, Edgar Glass, and moved to the farm between Grape Creek and Carlsbad, where she lived the rest of her life as a wife and mother.

She was very involved in being a home room parent and the teachers always looked forward to having the Glass kids in their class, because they knew they would get an "Alice Glass pecan pie" for Christmas.

She was a member of the St. Ambrose Catholic Daughters Altar Society for many years. She was an avid quilter and made many, many quilts over the years. For Christmas in 2020, she gave out 28 handmade quilts to all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Over the years, she has donated numerous quilts to the West Texas Rehab Roundup Auction.

She was very proud of her yard, flowers, and garden. She spent many hours every summer mowing her yard, which was very large, even as recently as last week from the excitement of getting her tractor mower back from being repaired. There were many times if someone came by her house in the mornings, they would find her mowing or chopping weeds in her night gown. She just couldn't wait to get out there as soon as the sun came up.

She was a 3 generation Water Valley Wildcat fan and made every ball game (football, volleyball, basketball) for the past 45 years. She attended her youngest grandson's football game last Friday night. She loved family gatherings and just might have played a little Beer Pong with some of the grandkids a few times. She also belonged to two Bunko groups and at least two different quilting groups so she was always busy making or doing something.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Edgar, daughter Gaynell Green, sister Mercedes Jost, brother David Schwartz, brothers-in-law Sylvester Glass, Roland Glass, Jimmy Schniers, and sisters-in-law Ester Glass, Nancy Glass and Carolyn Glass.

She is survived by five children, Charles Glass and wife Nora, Travis Glass and wife Angie, Coleen Glass, Janet Jordan and husband Wayne, Roger Glass and wife Melissa, and son-in-law Troy Green. Grandchildren Lynley Glass, Tanner Counts, Amber Fitzpatrick and fiancé Scott Fulcher, Ashley Fitzpatrick, Briana Crooks and husband Ty, Devan Glass, Conner Glass, Jisele Jansante and husband Jason, Shelby Green, Madison Green, Samantha Fournet and husband Jude, Taylor Jordan and wife Shani, Hannah Landers and husband Landon, Kenzie Jordan, Zachary Glass and wife Taylor, and Abby Hoelscher and husband Slayton. Great-grandchildren include Kyleigh Doss, Greyson Mediano, Autumn Fitzpatrick, Kinzlee Fulcher, Kellan Fulcher, Hadley Jordan, Leighton Jordan, Tinley Jordan, Wyatt Jansante, Natalie Fournet, Jett Fournet, Holden Landers, Tripp Landers, Posie Glass and Ceily Crooks. She is also survived by sisters LaVerne Schniers and Carolyn Strube and husband Jimmy, one brother Billy Schwartz and wife BettyAnn, sister-in-law Betty Joyce Schwartz, and brothers-in-law John Jost, Dennis Glass, Jerome Glass, James Glass, Bill Glass and wife Phyllis.

The Vigil Service will be 6:00 P.M., Monday, September 6, 2021, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church. The Funeral Mass will be 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Choutapalli as celebrant. The burial will follow at St. Ambrose Catholic Cemetery.
