Benjamin Ambrose Hogan, Jr. passed away at Magnolia Assisted Living in Gonzales, LA peacefully on Sunday January 6, 2013. He was 90 years old. He was married to his beloved Rose for 52 years until her death in 2004. He is preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Ambrose Hogan, Sr. and Mary Hortence Tonguis Hogan and siblings Mary Rita Rostetter, Linnette Crosby, Sister Clare Hogan, TJ and John Hogan. He is survived by siblings Marjorie Freeman, Ralph, Lawrence and Ned Hogan. He was the loving father of Victoria Hogan of Lafayette, Benjamin Ambrose Hogan, III (Sandra Langford) of Mandeville, Cynthia Hogan of New Orleans and Mary Louise Hogan Beach (Walter Beach) of Gonzales. He was the adoring grandfather to Katie, Caleb and Benjamin Hogan IV and Hogan, Brandon and Brittany Beach. He attended St Stephen's Seminary in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and was the owner of Hogan Lumber and Trading Co. The family would like to thank the staff of Magnolia Assisted Living for their great care and concern for Mr. Ben and especially his sitters Doris Scivicque, Eddie Davis, Irene Bridges and Rhonda Babin.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd on Tuesday January 8, 2013 at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park. Visitation Tuesday noon until funeral time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The ALS Association Louisiana-Mississippi Chapter P.O.
