Virgie Luvena Rose Hall, 83, of Pine Bluff died Tuesday at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.

She was born June 24, 1923, at Scranton, Ark., a daughter of the late Marshall A. Rose and Virgie E. Wooton Rose.

She worked as a sales clerk for Holsum Bakery at Pine Bluff for many years.

She was a Pentecostal.

Survivors include her husband, Walter L. Hall, whom she married in March 1972 at Pine Bluff; four daughters, Margarette Wallace, Linda Ard, Louise Jeffers and Amanda Hall, all of Pine Bluff; one son, Steve Carroll of Benton; one brother, Sam Rose of Pine Bluff; one sister, Betty McCarley of Pine Bluff; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Norwood H. Carroll, in 1964; one son, Robert N. Carroll; and one brother, Andrew Rose.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors with the Rev. Bobby Hartsfield officiating.

Visitation will be from 5:30 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6635, Pine Bluff, Ark. 71611.
