HEADLAND…Johnny "Buddy" Ottice Wade, a resident of Headland, Alabama, passed away unexpectantly Tuesday morning, August 31, 2021, in Lakeland, Florida. He was 55.

Graveside services will be held 10:00 A.M. Monday, September 6, 2021 at Pleasant Plains Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Ray Cobb officiating. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.

The family request for no flowers and no food to be brought to the residence, instead they request you do an act of kindness for someone in Mr. Wade's honor.

Mr. Wade was born in Dothan, Alabama to the late Johnny Oakley Wade and Shirley Campbell Wade. He lived in Headland, Alabama his entire life. He was a 1984 Graduate of Headland High School. He obtained his electricians degree from Wallace Community College. At the time of his death, he had been employed for over thirty years by Ready Electric, based in Louisville, Kentucky, as a electrical supervisor. Buddy enjoyed anything outdoors. He loved tinkering and building implements for his John Deere tractor. He was always wetting a hook when he had a chance. Buddy loved cooking for family, friends and coworkers.

Along with his parents he was also preceded in death by a step-grandson, Matt Fair.

Leaving to cherish his memories are his wife, Loretta Tindell Wade; his second mother, Martha Jones of Abbeville, AL; his wife's children; Dede Crews Coe (Dennis) of Napier Field, AL, Perry Crews (Suzanne) of Headland, AL, and Amy Crews Hardy (Clay) of Franklin, TN; his sister; Tami Wade Hall (Mike) of Marianna, FL; a nephew, Gavin Hall of Destin, FL; his step-grandchildren, Jenna Holman Mead of Wetumpka, AL, Amber Hardy Warren (Tripp) of Birmingham, AL, Allison Hardy, Paige Hardy, and Bryant Hardy, all of Franklin, TN, Preston Strickland (Madison), Abbi Strickland (Waylon), Parker Strickland; a step-granddaughter-in-law, Ashley King Fair of Headland, AL; his step-great-grandchildren, Conner Fair, Nolan Fair, and Reese Strickland; and a host of cousins and friends.
