Glen R. Hamilton, age 93, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021 at 5:46 a.m. in his home.

Glen was born on October 25, 1927 in Pinckneyville, IL, a son to Dwight Lymon and Lura M. (Russell) Hamilton. On November 11, 1949, he married Marjorie Templeton in the First Presbyterian Church, Pinckneyville, IL. She preceded him in death on March 4, 2005 after 55 years of marriage.

Survivors include his two sons, James (Marie) of Creal Springs, IL and William (Nancy) of Steeleville, IL; a daughter, Gwen (Michael) of Bonfield, IL; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and a granddaughter, Amy Elizabeth Fox.

Funeral services will be held at the First United Presbyterian Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. Masks will be required.
Interment will be in Galum Presbyterian Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL.

Visitation will be at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday morning at First United Presbyterian Church, Pinckneyville, IL from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.

Covid-19 restrictions and mandates will be adhered to.
