Casar - Casar - Mrs. Hattie Causby Smith, 89, of Turner Road, passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Atrium Health - Cleveland in Shelby.
Born in Cleveland County, NC on February 5, 1932 she was a daughter of the late Earnest Martin Causby and Lottie Virginia Orders Causby. She was retired from Crestline Furniture and was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Casar.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Pastor Johnny Wayne Smith; a son, Marty Smith; son-in-law, James Wilkie; granddaughter, Brenda Wilkie; five sisters, Hittie Causby, Annie Belle Cook, Onedia Smith, Eare Causby and Jinnie Parker; four brothers, Ralph, Earnest, William and Charles Causby.
Survivors include four daughters, Kay Price (Tim); Louise Houser (Dale); Virginia Gaye Wilkie and Twanda Willis (Wendell); all of Casar; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and 1 great grandchildren and her dog Taz.
Visitation will be from 2:00PM to 3:00PM on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home and at other times the family will be at the home.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Fulbright officiating.
Burial will be at Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery in Casar.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
