Teresa Miller, age 84 years, of Manomet, died Thursday, September 2, 2021 at the Beth Israel – Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth. She was the wife of the late Douglas B. Miller, Sr., and the daughter of the late Edward J. and Bridget Teresa. (Murphy) Lane Sr. Born in the middle of a blizzard on January 12, 1937 in Somerville, Teresa was a graduate of Somerville High School, and furthered her education at Bridgewater State College. She began her career teaching kindergarten children before opening Jack & Jill Nursey School in 1975 in Manomet, which she operated for twenty-five years at her home. She was well known in the Manomet community for the early education of hundreds of local children. While spending time with her family and watching her grandchildren's sporting events were most important to Teresa, she also enjoyed dining out, going to yard sales and church fairs, and crocheting and knitting.
She will be sadly missed by her children, Donna Casella and her fiancé Robert Donahue of Manomet, Cheryl Malone and her significant other Dennis Nuss of Plymouth, Sandra Miller and her fiancé Paul Griffin of Plymouth and Douglas B. Miller Jr. of Plymouth. She was the proud grandmother of A.J. Casella and his wife Cara, Nicholas Casella, Melissa Camara and her husband Adam, Derek Malone, Ryan and Matthew Miller and the loving great grandmother of Mia and Ayla Camara. Teresa was pre-deceased by her sons-in-law, Anthony Casella and John Bennett, and her siblings Edward Lane Jr, Rita Higgins-Davis and Walter Lane.
