Jennifer Ann Burge, age 51 of Warren, passed away Sunday, August 15, 2021 under the care of Season's Hospice in Detroit, Michigan. She was born July 23, 1970 in Detroit, Michigan, daughter of Carol Ann (nee: Burkett) Hughes, and the late Gregory Wayne Hughes.

Just a young twenty-something, (23 to be exact), Jennifer was overjoyed to share her wedding vows with the handsome, William "Bill" Burge on August 28, 1993,…a marriage that began in his sister's backyard in Rochester Hills, Michigan. A beautiful setting which was the harbinger for the wonderful years ahead, Jennifer's passing came just 13 days before what would have been hers and Bill's 28th wedding anniversary. Together they built upon the comforts of home & hearth, raised three beautiful children, and grew deeper in love with each passing day.

Employed for years as a customer service agent with the utilities company, Consumers Power, Jennifer enjoyed a satisfying career as she extended the utmost in customer care to the countless thousands she engaged over the years. Jennifer took great pride in her work, and her solutions-oriented skills made quite an impact upon the community within her scope of responsibility.

When she wasn't working, Jennifer enjoyed exercising her artistic talents through the venues of scrapbooking and the creation of greeting cards. With both calling upon the better parts of her designing abilities, Jennifer had quite the inventive and imaginative eye in making each genre come to fruition.

She also possessed a supreme delight for the game of baseball,…especially when it came to her favorite Boys of Summer, the Detroit Tigers. Always a fan of the iconic ball club, Jennifer's affinity for the Tigers became more pronounced within the past few years. So much so that she will be remembered for having taped the games so she could call them up and enjoy them once again during the off-season. So just how many fans do you know that do that?

Another of Jennifer's favorites was wrapped up in her love for vacationing. She was always enjoying some kind of trip,…whether with family and friends throughout the year, or on the annual "Girls Trips" she shared with a host of her life-long friends that spanned some 40 plus years together. Either made for some of the fondest memories she had made with loved ones and friends alike.

Yet of all that summoned her greatest delights in life, nothing compared to those precious and simple pleasures of spending time with her children, Casey, Leila and Brody. Her three little munchkins that quickened the most tender parts of her heart and soul, and always reminded her of just how blessed she was to covet their presence. They were truly the light of her life and the wind beneath her wings,…and now she lives on as their Guardian Angel.

A loving wife, daughter, mother and sister, Jennifer leaves us far too soon, but not without imparting the best of herself in the time she was given here on earth. She touched a multitude of hearts and souls in her journey this side of Heaven, may she now enjoy the blessings on the other side as she rests safely in the arms of God. She will be missed immensely and loved eternally.

Jennifer was the beloved wife of William "Bill" Burge. Dearest daughter of Carol (nee: Burkett), and the late Gregory Hughes. Loving mother of Casey Burge, Leila Milkic, and Brody Burge. Cherished sister of Lorne (Rita) Hughes, Tony Hughes, and Christina (Mitch) Young. She also leaves her treasured "Fur Baby, Riley," a wonderful mix of Pit Bull & Black Lab who afforded her countless hours of unconditional love and compassion. Being the pet lover she was, it's with joy & elation to share that Jennifer is now in the company of the pets that preceded her in death, her beloved Sissy, Bandit, Chewy, Scooby, and Pepsi. Just imagine the reunion she is sharing with them now?!

Visitation for Jennifer will be held Wednesday, August 18th from 3-9 pm, with a 7pm Eulogy Service, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Rd) in Warren, Michigan.

A Private Family Committal Service & Burial will take place on Thursday at Parkview Memorial Cemetery in Livonia, Michigan 48154.

In lieu of flowers Memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society – Michigan Chapter.
