Obituary for Mark Scott
Mark Andrew Scott was born in McAlester, Oklahoma on Friday, March 20, 1970, to Tommy Joe and Eva Pauline (Foster) Scott. He passed from this life to his eternal home in heaven on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 51.

Mark was one of seven children born to Tommy and Pauline into a close-knit family who love and serve the Lord. Mark served as pastor of Gospel Lighthouse Church in Osage, Oklahoma for the past 22 years.

He was the youth minister at his older brother Phil's church and then at his father's church before he started pastoring at Gospel Lighthouse in 1999. He was a dedicated man of God and loved his church family so much. He had incredible generosity and a kind heart. These attributes opened doors for him to benefit others whether he knew them or not. Those that knew him would agree that we need more like Mark Scott in this world. His many talents and interests included sports (esp. playing and watching football), coin collecting, building computers and other geeky, techno-stuff, playing trumpet, piano, and guitar, and most importantly, helping people find and follow Jesus.

He was engaged to be married in December to Angela Kendall and was already "Papa" to Angela's grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memory are:
Brother Bryan Scott (Elizabeth) of Meeker
Brother Phillip Scott (Saro) of Eudora, Kansas
Brother Michael Scott (Cindi) of Sand Springs
Brother Timothy "Tim" Scott (Misty) of Topeka, Kansas
Sister Tommie Ann Scott of Broken Arrow
Sister Debi Griffy (Todd) of Broken Arrow
Numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, and great-nephews
Fiancée Angela Kendall of Cleveland
Future stepson and grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tommy Joe and Eva Pauline.
