She was born Dec. 12,1915, in Ford City to Martin and Mary (Totos) Ondrusek.
Mrs. Powell was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Jacksonville and the First Catholic Slovak Union in Ford City.
Survivors include one son, Thomas F. Powell of Jacksonville; one daughter, Mrs. Catherine Funke of Tipton, IN.; four brothers, August "Gus" Ondrusek of Matteson, Ill., Andrew Ondrusek of Girard, Ohio, and Anthony and Paul Ondrusek, both of Ford City; three sisters, Mary O'Poole of Cedar Bluff, Ala., Teresa Frantz of Elyria, Ohio and Anna Charney of Ford City; 10 grandchildren and five great- grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Fuller Powell; two brothers, Joseph and Thomas Ondrusek; and one sister, Barbara Bowes.

Nov. 23, 1992, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, at Mantini Funeral Home In Ford City, where a rosary service will be held Sunday at 7 p.m. and a prayer service Monday at 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Holy' Trinity Roman Catholic Church In Ford City with Rev, Edward Tajc officiating. Burial will follow In Holy Trinity Cemetery. Arrangements by Mantini.
