Jerry Moss Turner

Jerry Turner was born on March 13, 1934 in Clinton, KY, where he grew up a St. Louis Cardinals fan, amongst three brothers and two sisters. He was a basketball player in high school. Then after serving two years in the Army, in the mid-1950's, he moved to Atlanta. It was there, at a church service, that he met Dolores Robinson, and the two were married in 1959.
Jerry then attended Massey Business College and landed a job at CDC, where he was employed for 30 years. After retiring, he continued working in construction and remodeling, and he invested in a cattle farm with his brother. Jerry spent many enjoyable hours at the farm.
Jerry and Dolores were original members of Calvary Assembly of God in Dunwoody, GA, where Jerry was instrumental in helping to build several of the church buildings over the years. He was involved in various capacities there, and he traveled on some of the church mission trips.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Dolores, after 62 years of marriage; their three children: sons Kevin Turner and Kerry Turner, wife Wendy, and daughter Tonya Toole with husband Tim; his brother, Alfred Turner; as well as six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 10:30 am at Floral Hills Memory Gardens, Tucker, GA. In lieu of flower, donate to a favorite charity.
