Arthur was a man of God who had great wisdom and was led by the Lord in all of his decisions. He loved his family and dedicated wife, who stood by his side and supported him for 58 years. He made many sacrifices for his family, including sending his girls to a Christian school and making sure they were raised in a Christian home. He was there for his daughter's and grandchildren's church, academic, and sporting events. He also enjoyed racing, fishing, and taking his family on an annual vacation. His legacy lives on through his family and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
"Rat" was employed at E.I. DuPont for more than 33 years.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Violet Faye Heath Perry; daughters, Timila Perry Lane and husband Michael, and Teresa Perry Anderson all of Kinston; grandchildren, Kayla Lane Varnell and husband John Taylor, Michael Kyle Lane, Blaine Andrew Anderson, and Ashlee Paige Anderson; brother, Joe Perry and wife Sheila of Kinston.
Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Grace Baptist Church with visitation to follow. Reverend Bill Bradley and Reverend Danny Sykes will officiate. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Westview Cemetery.
