Linda Harvey Kidd of Appomattox, Virginia
September 22, 1953 - September 2, 2021

Linda Harvey Kidd, 67, of Appomattox, peacefully went home to her Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 2, 2021, surrounded by her three sons. She was the loving wife of the late Percy Kidd.

Born in Lynchburg, September 22, 1953, she was a daughter of the late Shirley Austin and Lewis Glover Harvey. Linda attended Appomattox County High School and graduated in 1971 from Buckingham County High School. Along with her husband, Percy, they owned and operated Perlin's Country Classics, where she practiced her love of decorating. For the past 2 and a half years, she was employed with Schewels Home, where she had recently received a Total Performance Award. Linda was a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church.

Linda was a devoted, loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and Christian friend. A person of deep faith, her strength always came from her Heavenly Father. She loved listening to and singing worship music and she was a daily Christ follower. Linda had a happy, outgoing personality, and her loves in life were her family, friends and her dog, Sebastian.

And now dear brothers and sisters, we want you to know what will happen to the believers who have died, so you will not grieve like people who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe when Jesus returns, God will bring back with him the believers who have died.

1 Thessalonians 4:13,14

She is survived by her three sons, Darin and his wife, Cheryl; Bradley and his wife, Crystal and Brandon and his wife, Destiny, all of Appomattox; three sisters, Sue Francis, Anita Hubbard and her husband, Robert and Charlene Mitchell and her husband, David; two sisters-in-law, Jenny Ledford and husband, Larry and Brenda Kidd; two brothers-in-law, Charles "Smitty" Smith and Bill Fette; Linda was "Nannie" to her grandchildren, Taylor Hensley and husband, Zach, Tyler, Wyatt Kidd and wife, Sarah, Riley and Kinley Kidd, Dylan, Hayley, Cayden and Kayley Kidd and Chloe, Lindsey and Caleb Kidd; two great-granddaughters, Everleigh and Delainey Kidd. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Bradley Kidd, Jr.; and her great-granddaughter, Braelynn Kidd.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, September 4, 2021, at Thomas Road Baptist Church with Rev. Jonathan Falwell. A private family graveside service will be held at Antioch-Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
