Ora Lee Johnson w as born on Feb. 25, 1932, in Sumter County, to the late Simon Sr. and Jaqueline Johnson. She was the widow of Johnny Moore and Isaac Johnson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Walter (Ike) Johnson; a daughter-in-law, Mary K. Johnson; a grandson, Darrell C. Johnson; brothers, Perry (Evelyn) Johnson, Walter (Martha) Johnson and Oliver Johnson; sisters, Rosa L. Johnson and Hannah M. Johnson; nephews, Oliver (Pee Wee) Herriott and Reginald McLaughlin; and niece, Gloria McLaughlin.
She departed her life on Monday, Aug. 30, 2021, in Sumter.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories and carry on her legacy: two sons, Sammie L. Johnson and Bennie (Jacqueline) Johnson; daughter-in-law, Grace Y. Johnson; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a niece, a nephew, other relatives and friends.
Interment services: Clark United Methodist Church, 2980 Oswego Highway, Sumter.
