David William Gossett, 56 passed peacefully from his earthly life Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

He was born February 13, 1965 in Hopkins County, KY, the son of James Vernon Gossett and Glenda Mae Hook Gossett.

David is survived by his wife of 32 years, Donna Collins Gossett; sons, Daniel Gossett, Zachary Gossett, and Adam Gossett; brothers, Kenny Gossett (Linda) and Alan Gossett; mother-in love and father-in-love, Bill "Pop" and Linda "Mom" Collins; and several nieces and nephews.

David was a faithful member of Bible Baptist Church. David's primary passions in life were his Christian faith, loving family, and cherished friends. He enjoyed family camping, wood working, fishing, and archery, but most of all spending time with his sons. Living a Christian life, David set a wonderful example for his sons as well as for friends. David's passing leaves an empty place in our family circle and in our hearts.

Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 3, 2021 at Riverview Memorial Park. Pastor Paul Couch will conduct the service.
