Violet P Burkhart (nee Adkins), of Wentzville, MO, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at the age of 92. Beloved wife of 44 years to her best friend, Arthur Burkhart, Jr.; cherished daughter of the late John and Margaret Adkins; devoted mother of Larry J. Burkhart, James Burkhart, Joan (David) Porter, and Linda (John) Marrow; loving grandmother of six; step-grandmother of two; treasured great-grandmother of fifteen, with a baby girl one on the way in April, due on her Grandma Violet's birthday; Violet is preceded in death by four brothers and seven sisters.
Violet was a wonderful cook and homemaker, she made exceptional chicken and dumplings from scratch and was known for her old country cooking. In her free time she enjoyed sewing, reading, politics, and listening to music, specifically older country music. Most of all she loved her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Violet was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
