She was a kind hearted woman who loved her family more than anything, had an infectious laugh, never met a stranger, and absolutely loved to dance to "the oldies". At only 4'11, pound for pound, she was perhaps one of the strongest people her family has ever known. Incredibly, she had survived getting hit by two trains in her life; once as a young girl and the other in her mid-thirties.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Thomas Sanders and sister, Marvine Sanders.
She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Richard Powell; two children Tina Benson and husband Richard of Bentonville and Mike Powell and wife Gena of Gravette; one brother, Keith Sanders and wife Sherry of Bella Vista; one sister, Sandra Sanders of California; 6 grandchildren Christopher Straube, Kaleb Ward, Richelle Straube, Ashlyn Powell, Kaelyn Powell, and Avan Powell; and 2 great grandchildren Sophia Straube and Thackery Straube.
