Stephanie Ann Johnson, 49, of Longview, Texas, passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2021.

She was born May 1, 1972, in Pasadena, Texas, the daughter of Patricia Hill and Robert Johnson.

From the beginning, Stephanie found her joy in nature. Put her outside, let her get dirty, and she was one happy little girl. Later she learned to fish and hunt, and those became lifelong hobbies. Stephanie was also proud of her service in the United States Air Force. And a proud member of the Cherokee Tribe of America.

Stephanie was a kind and compassionate person who never met a stranger. Her infectious smile and laugh charmed everyone who met her. She was the life of the party, that person everyone gravitated towards, who loved to be silly. She loved her family, she loved her friends, and she loved Sandy. Stephanie and Sandy lived a life of adventure, riding motorcycles, kayaking, taking care of each other and their 12 rescue animals. They were that lucky couple, each other's person, through thick and thin.

Stephanie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mildred and Grayden Hill. She is survived by her wife, Sandy, her parents Patricia and Thom Petty and Robert Johnson, and several aunts and cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, September 3 from 6pm-8pm at Rader Funeral Home, 1617 Judson Road in Longview, Texas.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, September 4 at 10am at Rader Funeral Home, with a burial to follow at Oaklawn Cemetery in Center, TX.
