Robert was born August 27, 1938 to Woodrow "Woody" LaRue and Maxine LaRue. He and his wife Nancy were able to be together at Epic Nursing Home. Robert and Nancy were married for 65 years. Over the years they had 4 children Rhonda Steele, Ronnie "Bubba" LaRue, Donnie LaRue and Peggy Price.
Robert was a hardworking man, and a loving husband to his wife Nancy. He worked for Gorman Co and Blooming Grove ISD until he retired. He loved God with all his heart, often leading the church singing. He was a deacon at Brushy Prairie Baptist and Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist. He loved to hunt and fish and especially loved to train his beagles to chase rabbits, he never shot just loved being in the woods.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, brother Gary LaRue and his grandson James Steel.
He is survived by his wife Nancy, children Rhonda Steel, Ronnie "Bubba" LaRue and wife Tammy, Donnie LaRue and wife Tammie, Peggy and Don Price, 14 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and one great grandchild. As well as numerous cousins and friends. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Graveside services are scheduled for Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 2 pm at Dresden Cemetery.
